A designer who loves comic books, brush pens and doughnuts, Troy Parke creates compelling, usable and high performing product experiences.
He leads design teams in executing on business goals, unifying the User Experience across touchpoints, creating design systems (style guides / pattern libraries / design languages), designing cross-channel platforms, iterative rapid prototyping frameworks and delivering metrics-based feature performance.
Troy currently serves as a Product Design Manager, E-commerce at Alaska Airlines and leads product design for Alaska Airlines' guest-facing digital experiences - including websites (www.alaskaair.com, www.virginamerica.com), native mobile applications, self-service kiosks, airport displays and whatever is next. He is partnering with leaders across all facets of product, engineering and brand marketing to create digital touchpoints that Alaska Airlines’ Guests love.
Troy formerly led the Seattle based User Experience, Information Architecture and Interaction Designers responsible for Walt Disney Company Parks and Resorts Digital experiences. He partnered with Vice Presidents and Directors of Product, Project and Technology to design the next generation of world-class cross-channel immersive digital experiences for premier vacation brands including: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Paris, Shanghai Disney Resort and Hong King Disneyland Resort.
Before Disney, Troy served as Sr UX Design Manager of a cross-functional team composed of UX/UI Product Designers and Marketing Designers at Big Fish in Seattle, Washington. The team worked closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Game Producers and Executives to design and maintain the ways Big Fish delivers games: websites, apps, mobile experiences and user acquisition efforts.
Prior to Big Fish, Troy was the in-house Art Director at RealNetworks (RealPlayer and Rhapsody), served as Design Director at Plexipixel and Lead Designer at Smashing Ideas, Inc.
Troy is also the Director for UX How – a resource for UX Design “How To” insights and Product Design based on his 15 years of experience on projects for Disney, Rolling Stone, Microsoft, Xbox and Nickelodeon.
